Ingredients

  • 1/2 c non-fat Greek yogurt OR
  • 1/2 c non-fat sour cream (See note)
  • 2-4 tbsp water (See note)
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1/2 t onion powder
  • 1/4 t dried dill or basil if you don't like dill
  • 1/2 t lemon juice

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth

Notes

  • You can use Greek yogurt or sour cream. Sour cream tastes better (IMHO), but often I only have Greek yogurt on hand. Either is good.
  • If you're using sour cream, check the nutrition facts and adjust points accordingly. Not all sour creams are 0 points. I recommend the Daisy brand.
  • Use the amount of water to get the consistency you want. If you want to thicker dip, use less water. If you want more of a dressing, add more.
  • This ranch gets better after sitting an hour or two. This is because the dried seasonings hydrate and the flavors meld. This is a great make-ahead recipe.
